Danko Dimchev Georgiev, MD, PhD

I am born on 19 April 1980 in Varna, Bulgaria.

Sep 1998 - Nov 2004. Graduated at Medical University of Varna obtaining MD degree.

Nov 2004 - Sep 2005. I worked as an anesthetist at Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Naval Hospital, Varna.

Oct 2005 - Sep 2008. Research at the Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology, Kanazawa University Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, Japan, obtaining a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences under the supervision of Professor Yukio Yoneda.

Currently I am doing research on molecular impairments in schizophrenia, particularly in some subsets of GABA neurons in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex.

My research interests are in the fields of neuroscience, anesthesiology, molecular biology, biophysics, quantum mechanics, mathematics, mathematical logic, theory of consciousness, evolution theory, human evolution, anthropology, philosophy, history of science, cosmology. I am also interested in music, art, literature, computer hacks and I like to play online blitz chess.

I have keen interest in both pure mathematics and applied mathematics. I love Wolfram's Mathematica plotting where the joy of programming is as important as the results of the solved problems. The simulated (plotted) objects vary widely from biomolecules and biostructures, to plots of purely mathematical objects (functions) for illustrational purpose.
